How to let an AI agent use your logged-in Chrome
If the work you want done sits behind a login, the agent has to be in a browser that is already signed in. Beacon lets an MCP client drive your own Chrome, so your sessions, cookies and 2FA are already there.
How it works
- Install the extension and link it to your Beacon account.
- Connect your MCP client with your key.
- Ask the agent for a task. It opens its own tab group and works there.
- If it needs you, its tab comes forward.
What limits the agent
Beacon is an MCP tool, so what happens depends on who calls it and what they ask for. The agent can only act inside its own tab group, and irreversible steps such as sending or paying are flagged so it can ask first.
If you tell the agent to pay, it will. That is your instruction.
Agent mode keeps your tab yours
In agent mode the agent works in background tabs and the tab you are on is left alone. Personal mode, where the agent works in your tab, is the default.
